Senior Legal Distribution Counsel (2636)


Industrial Sector:
Asset Manager

Job Duties:
Elaboration and negotiation of key contracts relating to sales of investment funds worldwide, as well as supervision of the remaining team’s elaboration and negotiation of such contracts

Independent management of the regulatory approval processes of investment funds under
Luxembourg and Irish law in Switzerland and/or various other distribution countries worldwide

Oversee the team’s correspondence with the competent supervisory authorities in Switzerland, distribution countries worldwide and/or the respective distributors

Monitor and assist with the team’s advisory work on: legal requirements for the preparation and
supervision of marketing material, preparation and maintenance of websites for the respective
distributors, intellectual property, and data protection

Observation of and periodical reporting on the legal developments in the respective distribution
countries and management of projects related to the implementation of such legal developments

Monitor and manage work relating to legal clarifications in the field of investment fund sales

Point of contact for external correspondent attorneys

Ensure cohesion within the team by acting as the binding element, all the while ensuring
efficient coordination of team work and promoting adherence to the firm’s values and continued professional and personal development


Job Requirements:
A fully completed Swiss law degree or foreign equivalent (Master of Law), or MBA

Minimum of 3+ years of relevant Legal & Compliance experience in the Asset Management industry,
with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in sales law and/or in a leadership position

Ability to demonstrate international professional experience in Legal & Compliance aspects of
investment products sales, particularly across Switzerland, the EU, possibly also Latin America, the Middle East and/or East Asia the United Kingdom, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, and Spain

Financial market and product knowledge across asset classes, and of the Swis
s and European legislation in the field of investment product sales (in particular, UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID)

Extensive experience in negotiating international contracts and in communication with supervisory
authorities

Fluent in German and English, other languages would be of advantage
