Job Duties:
In cooperation with a Zurich based recruitment agency we are searching for a Compliance Manager.

Summary
As a Compliance Manager, you will be tasked with translating regulations into action and making sure that the Company understands and adheres to the legislation and internal policies.
The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that appropriate processes, systems, policies and structures are in place to manage compliance with the Company’s legal and regulatory obligations, in particular regarding UKGC technical standards, personal data protection and other EU directives and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:
Examine and identify the risk areas across the business and mitigate risks ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulations, legislation, company policies and best practice.
Research and keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations.
Educate employees on not only the regulations, but also the impact on the organisation if these are not complied with.
Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues.
Highlight or escalate areas of concern and seek prompt resolution.
Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisation.
Take ownership and maintain compliance solutions already embedded in the organisation.
Assist in the gathering of internal information and requirements in response to regulatory requests.
Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
Support regulatory investigations and audits.
Advise the organisation on any licensing requirement and act as a key point of contact.
Identify gaps in existing processes or arising from new regulations and ensure that the correct remedial actions are put in place to close these gaps.
Be responsible for conducting regular risk assessments of processes and procedures to ensure that they reflect current legal, technical and operational requirements, especially in regards to Gambling Commission compliance requirements.
Provide appropriate advice and interpretation of the provisions of the data protection regulation as they impact the company’s activities in general and/or specific functions across all services.
Liaise with third party compliance providers and hold them accountable for delivery where applicable.
Develop and maintain the general data protection policies and responsible gambling awareness training programmes within the company and deliver ad-hoc awareness, refresher training, and in-depth training as necessary.
Develop, implement and enforce appropriate policies and procedures related to third party suppliers and ensure that data protection requirements are detailed in contractual agreements.


Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a Compliance Officer in a gambling, banking or insurance or any other highly regulated environment.
Knowledge and proven experience working with data protection legislation.
Experience in ISO27001 and Data Protection regulations.
Compliance monitoring and / or internal audit experience.
Experience and knowledge of the principles of capturing evidence for regulatory investigations.
Excellent interviewing and auditing skills.
Experience in dealing with challenging auditing environments and auditors.
Ability to promptly deal with audits findings and solve potential issues.
The ability to produce accurate and timely reports for senior management and excellent writing skills.
An understanding of the software development life cycle would be beneficial.
Attention to detail is essential with an ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
Proven ability to establish and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, respect, trust and credibility.
Law Degree or Qualification in Compliance, Data Protection or GDPR is desirable.
