In collaboration with a Zurich based recruiting agency we are looking for a Senior - Internal Audit:
Our client is a small, internationally acting and agile service providing company in the financial industry. Their attractive and modern office is based in the city of Zurich. On their behalf I am looking to find a new team member in the role of a Senior Internal Audit.
We are looking for an objective team player to add value and improve the operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, corporate government principles, internal control framework and a sound judgement.
Responsibilities
Establish the annual internal audit plan which includes a risk assessment across the group but also on a company level
Independently perform the full audit cycle including planning, financial and operational processes and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and suggestions for improvement
Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
Identify loopholes and recommend risk mitigating measures and cost savings that increase shareholder value
Maintain open communication with management and audit committee
Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools and standards
AdHoc support to business teams when required, at a high level around strategy and risk

Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
Proven experience as Internal or External Auditor in Switzerland
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
Ability to process large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Sound independent judgement
Preference given to knowledge and experience with IFRS standards
Selfstarter with high level of motivation
Readiness for some travel activities within Europa
